MSI takes a leap with 14-inch CR410 Notebook

Dell launched the feature-rich Inspiron M101Z notebook fitted with an 11.6” display just a few days ago. Now MSI has come up with the Classic series CR410 laptop which includes a 14” LED display that exhibits HD resolutions of 1366 x 768p and a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio.

Users can choose to purchase the notebook with a 2.5” SATA HDD offering 250GB, 320GB or 500GB storage capacity. The gadget is equipped with two DDR3 memory slots. The visual capability of this notebook is backed by the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4270 graphics card.

The CR410 is powered by the AMD Athlon II Dual-Core processor and it integrates the RS880M+SB820M chipset. The exterior of the gadget is embedded with ports for HDMI, D-sub, USB 2.0, mic-in, headphone out, RJ-45 as well as a Kensington lock. Additionally, the laptop is attributed with a 4-in-1 card reader.

Wireless connectivity of this Bluetooth V2.1+EDR enabled device is supported by Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n capability. Apart from the two built-in speakers, the laptop flaunts a 0.3MP webcam too. Moreover, it runs on a 6-cell 4400mAh standard battery. The dimensions of the gadget amount to about 344.4mm x 221mm x 13.5mm and it tips the scale at around 2.2 kg.

It flaunts MSI’s 45° beveled construction, a matte black finish and metal touchpad keys highlighted by the LOHAS design. Pricing details of the MSI CR410 notebook are unclear for now.

Asus Eee PC 1015PD product page appears

The Asus Eee PC 1015PD has finally received its product page on the Internet to confirm a report late last month that pointed towards the existence of such a model. This new 10" netbook will feature either a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N455 or 1.83GHz Intel Atom N475 processor, not to mention DDR3 memory that ranges from 1GB to 2GB, depending on your configuration. Apart from that, you can choose from a 160GB, 250GB or 320GB hard drive to keep the 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity options company. Depending on your choice of batteries, it should be able to last anytime from 4.5 to 13 hours. Other specifications are pretty much cookie cutter netbook fare, with a 0.3-megpaixel webcam, a 1024 x 600 pixel display, VGA output, a couple of USB 3.0 ports (nice to see Asus keep up with the times), an SDHC memory card slot and relevant mic and headphone jacks, with Windows 7 Starter Edition being the operating system of choice. There is still no word on pricing though.

Samsung Unveils The New X125 And X180 Thin Netbooks

Samsung has recently released two new thin and light netbooks, which are the Samsung X125, which is currently available for pre-order over in the UK, and the Samsung X180, which is already available in Korea. Details on the X125 include:
