There are some things in life that come across as a unique release, and theStratocaster-styled Aethertone custom electric guitar is definitely one of them. Since it is carefully and lovingly made as a one-off item, it holds a special appeal to steampunk fans as this stunning guitar comes with a design that comprises of several cut pieces which were created to look like beaten, cut metal. With more than 150 fake screws all over the guitar's body, the metal plates seem as though they were fixed on purpose onto the body. There are real screws on it though, although they are limited to the pickguard and bridge in order to enable the guitar to maintain its normal sound. Sporting a monkey grip, a secret compartment and a pressure gauge on the front of the body, this is one lean, mean, highly modified Fender. eBay purveyors can pick this up at a “But It Now” price of $1,200, or try their luck with a starting bid of $699.
