Indesit Company Introduces Its Smart Washer

Indesit Company and Freescale have collaborated to come up with a Smart Washer that uses a Freescale ZigBee node, allowing it to adjust its cycle starting time according to the variable energy cost, accessing information from the local power utility via a ZigBee enabled Internet connection to the Smart Grid. With all our home appliances becoming smarter and smarter, we're looking forward to the day where we don't have to do anything to keep our house and clothes clean anymore.
