Seems like the UAE government isn't the only government that RIM is having some trouble placating, as word is going around the Indian government isn't too happy with RIM's encrypted email and messaging services. According to reports, the government has asked RIM to follow its security guidelines, or risk being asked to shut down its operations in India. Government officials argue that since RIM has followed security guidelines in other countries, it should allow its security officials to be able to read encrypted email and messages too. You can bet that the many folks that use BlackBerry devices over in India are concerned about how this will work out.
